Testimonials and References

“Kirsten Panachyda spoke to a group of women at one of our Something To Chew On Ministry events on the topic of “Running On Empty”. She took initiative by reaching out to me and offering to speak which saved me so much time. She responded to correspondence in a timely and professional manner and was willing to travel a good distance to be with us. Kirsten came prepared and eager to help. Her speaking was organized, vulnerable, and honest. The visual tools she used were especially powerful as well. I can always gauge the impact our speakers make by the comments we get from our guests, and I know that what Kirsten shared resonated with so many women because I heard so many wonderful things. Kirsten even stayed afterwards to connect personally with the women and prayed with them. She went above and beyond and was a blessing to all of us that night.  Kirsten will always be welcome back at STCO because we know we can count on her to share something that will help our ministry to fulfill it’s mission to connect, encourage and grow women in their faith.”

“It was a pleasure to have Kirsten come to our mom’s group to talk about parenting kids in crisis. She was relatable and insightful, weaving practical points through her story that were helpful whether you were in crisis yourself, or trying to help a friend through their crisis. Kirsten spoke as a friend would to another friend – honestly, empathetically, and with humor. The vulnerability she showed allowed us to open up with each other in our discussions afterwards. Kirsten is a thoughtful speaker who is able to connect with her audience in meaningful ways, many thanks to her for coming to speak to us!”

Sample Talk Descriptions:

“My soul is among lions; I must lie down amongst those who breathe forth fire..” Psalm 57:4a

For nearly four years, Kirsten parented her teenage son through the initial instability of his Bipolar Disorder. From the springboard of that experience, she explores the beasts which can attack us during times of crisis and suffering. We cannot escape them, make them go away, or defeat them ourselves. Touching on times we feel lonely, spent, disappointed, and lost, she helps us discover the comfort, protection, and deliverance of God. He meets us right in our place of pain among lions.

When Kirsten and her husband put their shoulders to the wheel to care for their son, who has Bipolar Disorder, they worked as a team. Still, their marriage underwent extreme stress, and was in danger of fracturing. Kirsten shares hard-won lessons about defending our marriages while fighting an exhausting and painful parenting battle. Topics include absorbing inconvenience, finding time to be alone together, showing grace, and persevering when our partners let us down. God desires to strengthen and soften our love for our spouses, especially when we are walking together through the valley of the shadow.
